Having fixed the venue and date, we would have an initial meeting to sketch out some rough ideas for the ceremony and make sure we actually like each other: this is really important.
I would send you some examples of previous ceremonies and a copy of the BHA’s handy little booklet Sharing the Future, which is full of ideas for different kinds of wedding ceremony.
Over the ensuing few weeks, we would meet again to refine our basic ideas, and exchange emails until we had a draft script for your approval. A final meeting to OK the details and if possible a walk-though at the venue to make sure it all works in practice.
And finally….the day itself.
My basic fee for all of that is between £550 and £750, with a 25 per cent deposit payable on confirmation.
